A signet of capture is used to learn a skill from a boss you've killed. This is the only way to learn elite skills but it can also be used to capture any skill that boss uses.
You can only learn/capture/use skills of your 2 professions. A necro would need warrior to use charge and ranger to use escape. |

That skill can you learn the skills from other enemies?
Yes And can you learn that skill for always? Yes And can Necros learn escape and charge? Only if you have ranger secondary (escape) or warrior secondary (charge). You can only capture skills linked to one of your 2 professions. |

Signet of Capture.
And I don't think you can have a N/R/W...lol. I think the 1st time you can get a SoC is from Avena in Maguuma Stade. |

Ok, CPU = henchmen in your little world.
I recommend ascending before you mess with Sorrows Furnace. Level 20 + 30 attribute points + elites will make your life easier. Follow the missions. Some of the SF quests require the team to split up so could be pretty rough with henchmen. Try them out in order they are given and when you find you can't do them with henchies then find a team. |

From here onwards, most skill trainers will have the Signet of Capture - e.g. those in Beetletun, Quarrel Falls, Henge of Denravi. Quote:

You have to have a Sigil to get a guild hall. You can get a Sigil from a NPC in the Tombs. Then you take your Sigil to the guy on the boat in Lions Arch. I think he lets you buy your guild hall. He will atleast let you golook at the different possibilities.

"If you follow the storyline, you can get the Signet of Capture much earlier than Maguuma Stade. The first encounter with this signet is with Magi Malaquire in Lion's Arch. You get one to do Magi's quest and then you'll get another as a reward for completing the quest."
Couple thigns to note about the Magi quest. You only get one sig if you went and bought a cap sig first. And this quest is perfect to save until your char is up to the point in the game where you are seeing bosses with elites. Saves you two skill points down the road, especially if you screw up your first char like I did and bought some skills that were questable. That char is now about 15 skill points behind my second char and they both have the same amount of xp. Good thing for the high-end quests cause I would hate to have to farm 225,000 xp. |

forgot to add about the guild hall/sigils...
there is a sigil npc in the guildhalls when you are checking them out. You don't have to go to tombs to get one. |

I'm fairly sure you can get SoC from Ephaz, the skill trainer in Beetletun... not 100% on that though.
To the OP... just play the storyline, it will be much more enjoyable than trying to learn using forums. |
